![]() ![]() hence, forcing customers to purchase the autotune companion at the cost of $400 extra. Little did I know that Dino jet had for all intents and purposes, (fantastic business strategy) only released 16 Mabs for the R1. That’s what prompted the power commander five purchase. Back then there was no such thing as auto tune and Dino jet had a litany of Maps for my bike, anything you can possibly imagine any combination. I had a power commander three on my 20 which was fantastic 10 years ago. It does relocate the rectifier from the front by the fuses to the side of the right subframe. But you could use the OEM one if you want. According to them, they are not offering a reflash on the 2020 R1 at this time. It does include a different mount though, Im assuming for weight savings. As I understand, they've made extensive changes to the fueling and eliminated the flat spot a 5k to 6k as well. They said that currently the 2020 R1 ECU is locked and their ecu flash vendor has not been able to unlock it yet. It looks like the SBU flash gains a ton of midrange - close to 18hp and 14- FT torque between 5.5k and 7k those numbers are measured with a graves full system exhaust of course. I have to say I’m not falling out of my chair in stunned disbelief at what a good purchase it was. Talked with Superbike Unlimited on the phone today. I’ve already committed close to a gee into the pc5+auto tune. what was the expense involved and how did you know what to remove and all those good things? I have a fair understanding of electrical but I’m super hesitant to apprehensive I should say. I’m a huge believer in doing practically everything myself from fork seals to cam chain tensioner’s can you name it I’ve done it everything except for like internal engine work. ![]()
